Resources

What you need to know. Period.

We developed this program to support educators and adults who work with youth in all kinds of contexts and settings to raise awareness and break down taboos around periods and related health issues, including endometriosis. While the workbook and the facilitator training are  designed to support adults to facilitate conversations and activities with youth, the information and the resources are for everybody, not just people who get a period.

This resource can be used in a wide range of settings, including classrooms, youth groups, libraries, health and community centres, and other learning environments. The content is designed for youth ages 8–18 and can be adapted to suit different ages, groups, and contexts.

What you need to know. Period. is all about encouraging open and informed conversations. Although periods are a normal part of life for many people, misinformation and stigma around menstruation still exist. This program is designed to help educators and facilitators create spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, and talk openly. Let’s put an end to the secrecy around periods, now. Period.
