Join The Endometriosis Network Canada volunteer team! We are actively recruiting three to four Facebook Support group moderators to join our passionate team of dedicated volunteers to support our Facebook Support Group, a safe and inclusive space for people with endometriosis to connect, share experiences, and find support. We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
- Group Monitor (2 positions available)
Time Commitment: ~3-4 hours per week per person
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Posts & Comments – Ensure discussions align with community guidelines and remove harmful or inappropriate content.
- Enforce Community Standards – Manage content that violates group rules, including misinformation, harmful language, or inappropriate promotions, using guidelines in the moderator handbook.
- Escalate issues that are beyond the scope of the moderator role to the group admin.
- Address Disputes & Conflict Resolution – Assist in managing conflicts and sensitive discussions in a compassionate and constructive manner.
Ideal For:
- Individuals who are comfortable enforcing rules while maintaining a compassionate and supportive tone.
- Volunteers who can remain neutral and handle conflict constructively.
- People who have experience in social media moderation or community building (preferred but not required).
2. Education & Support Moderator (1 position available)
Time Commitment: ~3-4 hours per week per person
Responsibilities:
- Answer Questions & Provide Support – Engage with members by responding to posts, sharing credible resources, and fostering discussions.
- Encourage Meaningful Conversations – Help create a supportive and interactive environment.
- Address Disputes & Conflict Resolution – Assist in managing conflicts and sensitive discussions in a compassionate and constructive manner.
Ideal For:
- Individuals with a strong understanding of endometriosis and a desire to support others.
- Those with experience in peer support, health education, or online engagement (preferred but not required).
- Volunteers with excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
