Twelve years ago, a small group of volunteers gathered at the CN Tower to watch it shine yellow in recognition of endometriosis. What started as a single moment of light has since grown into a nationwide movement. Over the years, The Endometriosis Network Canada and other community groups have proudly helped light up more than 85 landmarks from coast to coast, spreading awareness, hope, and solidarity for those living with endometriosis.
This year, we’re inviting community members to lead local requests. We’re making it easy with ready-to-use templates and a simple way to share confirmed lighting with us. You can help bring Light Up for Endo to your hometown and show those living with endometriosis that they’re seen, supported, and not alone.
How it works (3 quick steps)
- Ask a landmark to light up (city hall, bridges, towers, arenas—anything that illuminates).
- Confirm the date they can go yellow in March 2026 (ideal: Saturday, March 7, 2026, but can be flexible for any March date that is available).
- Tell us via the short form below so we can add it to the national roundup, celebrate your participation, and share your photos.
Use the email template below to send a request. Just copy, paste, and personalize it with your name, your city, and the landmark you’d like to see illuminated.

Subject: Illumination Request for [Monument Name] – Light Up for Endo 2026 –
Hello [Name],
My name is [Your Name], and I am a community member living in [City/Town Name]. I am reaching out in support of The Endometriosis Network Canada, a national charity that raises awareness and provides support to those affected by endometriosis.
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, when people and organizations across Canada come together to shine a light on this often-overlooked disease. Will [Monument Name] consider illuminating in yellow to Light Up for Endo and honour the more than two million Canadians living with endometriosis? We request that [Monument/Landmark Name] be illuminated in yellow on Saturday, March 7, 2026, or on another available date in March. An illumination helps spark conversation, raises visibility for this often-overlooked disease, and shows local residents they are seen and supported. If approved,The Endometriosis Network Canada will celebrate your participation on national social media channels.
