EMPOWER Research Lab
Purpose: Researchers at IWK Health are inviting people across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island to take part in a research study focused on identifying the most important unanswered questions about women+ health. Women+ includes women and all people who experience health concerns traditionally associated with women’s health across the lifespan. Through an online survey, participants, including individuals with lived experience, caregivers, healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, and members of the public—will be invited to share what health questions they believe need more research attention. These responses will be analyzed and used to develop a list of top research priorities, which will ultimately guide future research, funding, and policy decisions in the region. This project aims to ensure that future women+ health research reflects the real needs and experiences of the communities it is intended to serve.
Eligibility:
- Living in the Maritimes (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island)
- Lived experience, caregiver, member of the public, healthcare provider, researcher, or policymaker with an interest in women+ health
