By showing up, sharing stories, and fundraising through personal networks, participants shine a light on endometriosis, strengthen community, and sustain The Endometriosis Network’’s support, education, and advocacy.
About The Endometriosis Network Canada
The Endometriosis Network Canada is a patient-led, registered Canadian charity dedicated to endometriosis. Since 2012, we have provided peer support, and educational resources to thousands each year, built programs for underserved communities, and worked to improve care nationwide.
About the Opportunity:
To support the continued growth, consistency, and impact of this national event, we are seeking a volunteer leader to guide, coordinate and support local volunteer Run Directors across Canada, with assistance in keeping the events organized and on track with timelines.
The ED recruits and welcomes new Run Directors, and once confirmed, the National Run Director Coordinator becomes their main point of contact for support, updates, and event coordination. The Volunteer National Coordinator helps ensure consistency across city events while encouraging creativity and community spirit.
Time Commitment and Responsibilities:
December – February Planning season ( 3-5 hours/week)
- Support onboarding/orientation of Run Directors
- Share planning tools, templates, guides, timelines, share reminders and updates
- Handle regular check-ins, questions, and meetings
March-June Event Season (6-8 hours/week)
- Help answer questions and troubleshoot small challenges that come up
- Bring larger or national issues (like budget, safety, or sponsorship) to staff attention
- Support city teams with last minute questions
- Share reminders and updates
- Supporting run directors on keeping on track with timeline
June-July Wrap/Post Event Season (1-2 hours/week)
- Gather feedback from Run Directors, what worked/what didn’t
- Post event reflection, celebrate successes, review feedback and flag any ideas/what to improve for future events.
